It's heaven

The club(OVAC) is..main 2 courts no baseline view, other courts has baseline view but no chairs, there is sideline viewing seats in the middle just like Taube(roofed).

Weekend matches are VERY well attended(moves venue to the main site, Libbey Park). And those courts have perfect baseline views as well

AND. Thx for the detailed recap, but what I expected from you is... Where's the pics

Re: Pac 12

lol...no pics today! I had other plans today, so I wasn't planning on attending the match. But when plans changed, I drove over directly to the Farm (w/ no camera).

Thanks for the detail on Ojai. Are you going?

Don't think Ahn will play this season so Lele can retain her for another year of eligibility.

Re: Pac 12

I disagree. Ahn is the key to winning another championship, as it allows Tsay and Li to slide down and be more competitive. Ahn knows this as well and will most likely want to be apart of a championship team.

Re: Pac 12

I have to ask this; Did playing at NCAA Stanford aggravate Kristie's injury?

Maybe waiting to get fully healed and preparing for the 'glorious' comeback(not only personally but also as a team..since Krista is incoming..) next season
would be better..

Re: Pac 12

Bad news. Unlike before ONLY the final will be played at Libbey Park, which provides comfortable baseline view in the shade. Men of course will enjoy ALL matches being played there

Re: Pac 12

I don't think Lele would want to field Ahn just for Pac 12 and/or NCAA... I mean she hasn't had enough matches under her belt. It could be wasteful.

So, only 32 players are on MD, so Goransson, Landsman, Morton, Tsay and KK are playing invitational

11(teams)*3, so basically top 3 on each team are playing in the MD.

Re: Pac 12

If Ahn is in any condition to play, I doubt Lele would take a chance and let her play for Pac 12, which is pointless.
I would have to say that if able, Lele would play Ahn at the NCAA and possibly after the 2nd or 3rd round.

Ahn is not on the EL of Ojai, anyway.

Absolutely. She re-injured it during the Championships and wound up not being healthy enough to play the finals.

That was in May. In July, Ahn played the qualifying tournament up here at the Bank of the West, and she was still not 100%. She played w/ an ankle brace and you could tell there was a limp/hitch in her walk.

So here is the question: Does Lele put Ahn in the lineup for the Championships? At no. 4, even if she loses, Tsay and Li have better odds of winning at 5 and 6. Or does she put Ahn on ice as Knoxt suggests and wait til 2013? That's an awfully long time to wait.

(side note: has there ever been so much mention of a single player as Ahn recently?)

(another note: even tho the team is sponsored by Nike, she still plays in Babolat tennis shoes)

Pics of Ahn vs St Mary's earlier this year:

eh...Krista? Who'll catapult the team to 'Invincible Armada'?

P.S. Ok, in the case of Krista it's me who is doing all the talking
