Danielle Overall a really good score for SMC.

No. 7 Cal 5, No. 6 USC 2

Doubles
1: No. 1 Christian/Santamaria (USC) def. No. 27 Chi/Schutting (Cal) - 8-5
2: No. 48 Pulido/Lao (USC) def. No. 31 Susanyi/Fabikova (Cal) - 8-6
3: Olmos/DeSimone (USC) def. Davis/Posylkin (Cal) - 8-2

3: No. 113 Klara Fabikova (Cal) def. No. 60 Gabriella DeSimone (USC) - 6-2, 3-6, 7-5
4: Tayler Davis (Cal) def. Kaitlyn Christian (USC) - 5-7, 7-5, 6-1
5: Ellie Yates (USC) def. Kelly Chui (Cal) - 6-3, 7-5
6: Alice Duranteau (Cal) def. Valeria Pulido (USC) - 2-6, 6-3, 6-0
Order of Finish: 2, 6, 5, 3, 4, 1.
Couldn't watch because I was watching that titanic 4 hr bout between Peggy and Meredith
Same condition. Both teams played without 2 players each in singles(Zsofi and Annie absent from CAL, Zoe and Sabs absent from USC), and Zsofi and Sabs played doubles.
Conclusion? USC's vaunted depth was a myth
All lost 3 setters..USC desperately needs players that can WIN 3 setters, at an AWAY match
Ah well..that Indoors was probably the first and last chance for USC to win a championship, with Ray not playing..
And Lynn BAGELED Gugu? Why didn't Kyle play against her

I was thinking that exact thing about USC's depth.

Is there live stream available or video cams? It is a travesty that tennis matches are not televised like football

Re: Pac 12
My usual thoughtless ranting aside I almost felt like UCLA/USC's visit to CAL wasn't all that much to begin with. All 3 teams didn't field their full squad. Sure, they tested their depth, but...
May is all that matters

Re: Pac 12
From the sound of it (audio stream), Gibbs and Embree are battling hard for the epic 5th game...too bad no video
This match could decide it (Gibbs comes back down 2-4 to win set).
Stanford wins double point, but UF could tie it at 2-2, leading #2 and #6, behind on #5.
Deciding matches is #1, #3, and #4:
#1: Gibbs leading 6-4 over Embree
#3: Hardebeck up one set but trailing in 2nd set: 6-4, 1-3
#4: Morgan leading Tan 6-4 over Morgan
So technicaly #3 match could be the last match!!!

Ahhhh...rain delay!
Officially tied up at 2-2:
#1: Gibbs leading Embree: 6-4, 1-1 (on serve in 2nd)
#3: Hardebeck leading Cercone: 6-4, 3-4 (on serve in 2nd)
#4: Morgan leading Tan 6-4, 2-1 (Morgan up a break in 2nd)

Re: Pac 12
Rain delay. After the way she played Friday, really surprised Oyen just thrashed Ahn like she did. Ahn had a 2-1 break lead in the 1st and then Oyen just dominated her. Too bad the rain will thin the crowd and this will likely finish indoors.

Stanford had a 5:30 flight back...don't think that is going to happen.
Like the fact that the crowd will thin out, but is it true that around 1000 fans showed up?
It can get loud if this match continues indoors, regardless of how many fans stay.
Update: Court is soaked, additional 20 minute rain delay (doesn't sound like they're moving this indoors, yet)
Next Update: It's now moving indoors...

Audio, but no video? This is tennis! I'm curious what the audio commentary is like.

Re: Pac 12
I'm thinking Tan will probably lose her match against Morgan. Stanford will need Gibbs and Hardebeck to win their matches if they want to win.
Tan and Tsay should switch positions after this match. Ellen just had that one bad match against St. Mary's.

Agree that UF's next point is likely to be Morgan over Tan...
Gibbs might have an edge over Embree...
The big unknown is whether Hardebeck can win the 2nd or 3rd set, especially with how she's been playing lately
