I do think THIS result is rather more impressive
USC won EVEN though Val lost to Li
But Mal should've gained more confidence after this summer I guess?
I'll reevaluate after watching the National

Ahn, Tsay, Tan can flop so hard and more often than Stanford's expectations

Those 3 have impressive dual records, but when it counts, like in big matches, they don't always bring it like other Stanford players have.
The previous Stanford championship teams were much stronger at 4 thru 6, than 1 thru 3, so I am not quite sure what to make of this team in 2012-2013.
There could be alot of expectations on their shoulders. I think the key is Ahn, who has been a big question mark the past 2 years. If she plays like she did her first year then they'll be tough to beat. Can Tan own #5? Tsay is still a somewhat unknown.

I thought Mal also failed twice after her freshman year's NCAA
What, STAN has my favorite two players, Gibbsy and Krista
And frankly, they HAVE to win at least ONCE with that MEGA-star lineup don't you think?

I would be surprise if they don't win it next year. In fact, if they don't, then maybe its Frankie's turn to run the program

I think that's a pretty unfair statement for Ahn. She was pretty unstoppable until she hurt her ankle. You can't fault her for Stanford's loss to Florida in 2011 and her loss to USC in 2012 was only her third match of the year? If she is healthy, she'll own the No. 4 slot for sure. But that's a big "if", considering the past year.
