I'm happy Elena is retired. I probably would hate her today watching her losing to players like Radwanska, Errani or Wozniacki. Elena had a strange ability to play worse than she could - today she would be overtaken in rankings by pushers she she would be barely in TOP10.

She already had a negative h2h against WhosN1acki and Aga. She would be losing to Kerber, Errani etc. It was a good moment to retire, IMO.

It's not suddenly, I just think of her from time to time and just miss her.
And I don't think she'd do as badly as you think on the tour today. But I wasn't even thinking about her tennis, more about her in general.
