I agree, that's just too big of an opportunity to waste. I really don't understand the players that skip the ceremony, I see how they are not staying in the village because it's way too far away but this is something that shouldn't be passed up.

Besides, as a Brit I think Keothavong will also be there, so Caro won't be at a disadvantage by attending (not that she would be anyway).

I think she'd like to be there at the opening ceremony. Although she isn't Denmark's flag bearer -a few tennis players are flag bearers including Caro's friend Aga for Poland.

Going by athlete commentary, it's also a matter of 'IF' they are allowed to attend by there coaches, delegation etc. due to their schedules. Quite a few of the event teams have already moved out of the village to bases near their events. I will never understand the schedules that make certain events start before the games are even open, and starting distant events without enough time to go from the opening to their remote venues.
