After a tough 2011, Aminat seems to be back in form, reaching two back-to-back hardcourt semis in Egypt. The first was the 10K Sharm El-Sheikh, as a qualifier. The second, is the current 10K Sharm El-Sheikh 2, as a direct entry.

As the #3 seed, she faces fellow Russian Natela Dzalamidze in the semis.

Her current rank is #484; her high rank is #389, reached June 6, 2011. She has one 10K doubles title to her name, so far.

Unfortunately, Aminat retired in her semi against Natela, 26 14. I hope she is alright. Looks like she'll be the #4 seed at the the SES #3, next week.

25K Phuket 2: Aminat entered the main draw after winning both of her qualifying matches. Now faces another qualifier, Sung-Hee Han in the first round. Aminat has a 1:0 record over her.

25K Aschaffenburg. #9 seed in qualies. Upset #8 Katerina Vankova in the second round, 75 26 64, to make the main draw! Plays Maria Abramovic first round.

Aminat makes her second semifinal of the year, after upsetting #7 seed Anastasia Frolova, 62 67(4) 36. She now faces #8 Aliaksandra Sasnovich for a spot in the final.

#6 Aminat reached her third semi of the year, after upsetting #2 Katarina Lehnert in the quarters, 1 & 3. Aminat now faces #7 Yurina Koshina for a spot in the final.

Aminat was upset by Yurina, 4 & 4. Oh well. On to the next tourney.

Seeded #7, Aminat made her 4th SF of the year, after Hulya Esen, 3 & 4. She then fell to upstart Agnes Bukta, 0 & 2 Wondering when she will get that elusive singles title? Another opportunity in Antalya next week.

It's time for her to make some movement up the rankings-- she's been holding steady in the 500s for the last three years. She's currently ranked #524.
