Ah, a typo on my part. I don't think a retirement should count as a top 10 win. However it is a great opportunity for Sori. She has a good H2H with Kiri as well (2-0) so she will have a chance to advance.
Although admittedly they haven't played since 2010.

Great, great result, pity about Vera's injury, but such an important result for Sorana!
And Kirilenko really bullshited her way to the semis for most of the time. She has a chance, but above all I'm happy to see her on a stream!

Kirilenko won 6-2 5-7 6-4 again with some big time luck, those net cords... 
Sorana was crap in the first. got better in the second, but in the third they both played great tennis, but Sorana should have never grt broken at 4 all in the final set! 
But this is a good result and now let's see what she can do in Doha!
