Re: The Official Married Names Thread
Great finds on all of these Jimbo!
Lidy Venneboer is more formally a Lydia, but she seems to be known primarily by her nickname.
Interesting that the one site used Ellie (rathey Elly) Krocke.
Judiging by the Dutch photo archives I ran across Elsie Spruyt was also known by the nickname "Els".

I found this article while confirming the spelling for Lidy Venneboer. My Dutch is non-existent, but the article seems to suggest that Jansen was just part of her family name and she married a German named Kirsch circa 1971.
Am I correct or off on Lidy?

Correct:
Her father's name is Jan Jansen Venneboer (no hyphen!) where Jan is his Christian name and Jansen Venneboer is his family name. As a consequence, Lidy's official name is Jansen Venneboer. However, in the tennis world I only come across the simplified form Lidy Venneboer.
Indeed she married a German named Günter Kirsch. They have two children: Claudia (1970 or 1971) and Olaf (1973 or 1974). Age of daughter suggests marriage around 1970.
At the time of the article (2008-03-19) Lidy was 61 years old; i.e. born in either 1946 or 1947. She stopped playing tennis at age 22, which is around 1969. She played first round on Wimbledon 1968 (lost from P Lamm, USA).

Re: The Official Married Names Thread
Obituary Joyce Rymer (From 2012)
Joyce Rymer (Fitch).
We are saddened to record the passing of one of our members, Joyce Rymer who died recently after a short illness.
Joyce was a leading Australian tennis player between 1946 and 1951 and became a member of the NZ IC. She was a finalist in the Australian Singles in 1946 and won the doubles that year as well as partnering John Bromwich and reaching the finals four times during the post war period. She was a member of the Last Eight Club.
Joyce retired from tennis in 1951 when she married Aucklander, John Rymer and the couple embarked on their new life in the Anglican ministry. John Rymer, as many of you will know, became Dean of the Auckland and passed away about 8 years ago.
Joyce joined the Parnell Tennis Club, playing Interclub and coaching juniors there. She also helped at the ASB Classic for 20 years in the Ladies’ locker room with Cavell Morgan. She was recognised for her services by Tennis Auckland at the Classic when she retired from the job about 3 years ago.
And her is an obit with her DOD (26 July 2012)

Re: The Official Married Names Thread
I found another "Longwood lady". The Longwood ladies is a term I use for those New England women who were still going by their husbands names as late as the 1960s.
ANNE SYMMERS
SYMMERS--Anne Ellis, died on May 4 in Manchester Center, Vermont. She was born in 1917 in Chicago, the daughter of Delia Hazeltine and Ralph Ellis, and attended the Masters School and Vassar College. She was married to the late William Garth Symmers and resided most of her life in Greenwich, Connecticut. Anne was an avid tennis player, was ranked in the top ten nationally in women's doubles and won the National Platform Tennis mixed doubles three consecutive years. She is survived by her daughters; Barbara Bancroft of Muttontown, New York, Susan Bradford of Peru, Vermont, and Deborah Symmers of Sharon, Connecticut; stepson Benjamin Symmers of Alabama, stepdaughter Ann Reed of Florida; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. During World War II, as a member of the American Red Cross she served in England, North Africa, France and Germany from 1942 until 1947. She moved to Vermont in 2004. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Medical Center, PO Box 310, Londonderry, VT 05148.
Published in The New York Times on May 9, 2010
Using that I was able to come up with more details:
SYMMERS, ANNE (nee Anne H Ellis)
United States
Born 27 January 1917 in Chicago, Illinois.
Died 04 May 2010 in Bennington, Vermont
Married to William Garth Symmers (1910-2000) 20 March 1946
