Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5
So this means that if the weather worsens its possible that she'll play tommorow. Or if other matches will be very long.

Stadium 3 (from 13.00hrs)
1. ATP: Kohlschreiber vs. Monfils
2. Nadia Petrova vs. Ana Ivanovic
3. ATP: Bellucci vs. Gasquet
4. Caroline Wozniacki vs. Mona Barthel
Probably need something like 3-4 hours of rain delay to push Caroline's match into Wednesday ..

Weather.com says there's 50% chance of rain in Madrid today.

I don't know, who you are, but maybe you could take your all the way back to GM?
If you want to part-take in discussions in a player forum, I suggest you do not use GM speak.

I would say that the chances that Caroline plays in tonight's 50/50, says Wozniacki father and coach, Piotr Wozniacki, to politiken.dk.
- We have a specialist from England to see on foot and talk with Caroline, and when Caroline has warmed up shortly before the match, will take a decision.
- I have nothing to do with the decision to make, it is a decision, Caroline even in consultation with the specialist, says Piotr Wozniacki

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5
If chances are 50/50 it means that there is a problem, so I'd say even if she feels able to play - don't do it.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5
For crying out loud, they shouldn't really let her play.
I don't know what she wants to accomplish with this. Does she really believe she has the slightest chance of beating Barthel not being 100% fit?
Sometimes her stubbornness really gets the best of her it seems. All this will lead to is a frustrating loss, I really don't see how this is better than not playing.
If the ankle is still dodgy (and it must be if she has to take a decision this late) then all it needs is another stumble for much worse consequences. I really don't see how she can take this risk, especially looking at the draw. There's no way she gets through this with a problem like this... move on girl.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5
This is getting to stupid. Her draw is brutal, there's a major THIS MONTH.
No reason to play this match at all. Certainly no reason to risk her health playing with an injury in this timeframe

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5
There's still a chance she'll get a lucky draw in Paris. Probably wont happen, but there's a chance she can draw players like Kirilenko, then somehow make the QF & draw Aga.
You cant risk that if there's any doubt about her health now.
Get to Rome healthy, and more important, get out of Rome healthy

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 5
It just seems like that sometimes she lacks the smarts to be an absolute top player.
This really is one of those situations, she has to look at the bigger picture otherwise she'll never make it back to the top or win a slam.
She's trying to break down a brick wall with her head right now and it's not working.

Matt Cronin @TennisReporters
BTW on Caro: Mike Joyce told me Wozniacki is player he is most disappointed in on WTA, says her ball has lost weight
