Ana's post AO swing (up to IW/Miami)
Sorry about the thread title
I've never started one for a particular part of the season and thought I'd try my luck
I don't even know what her schedule is, but I hope she's playing something before IW because I think she is only like 100 points from number 16. She actually has a fair bit to defend in IW/Miami though, QF & 4R
I think she bounced back well from another shitasticly shattering Clijsters loss in Brisbane, and I really hope she continues to build on the form she showed in Melbourne. Especially the GOAT serving stats against scrubs
Have at it

Ana plays Doha and then Dubai, back to back, beginning in two weeks.

Re: Ana's post AO swing (up to IW/Miami)
I've always doubted her appearances in Doha in Dubai. She clearly doesn't like playing there. I hope she does this year.

She injured her leg or ankle in Doha few years ago, maybe that is the reason...
I hope she will play well in Doha/Dubai, because she has no points to defend there!

Didn't see this thread earlier Ajde! I was hoping she'd play Paris though, the surface is pretty good for her

I'm soon leaving for Doha. Unfortunately the Middle East has not been a great place for me in terms of results, even though I always enjoy visiting. I'm determined to put that right this year!

Now go do that, Ana.

Re: Ana's post AO swing (up to IW/Miami)
She needs points from these next two events to make up for what she's defending at Indian Wells and Miami. It shouldn't be too tough to win a couple of matches at each.

Re: Ana's post AO swing (up to IW/Miami)
I think that this will be very tough. Small draws, too many top players. It's not easy to reach SF in Doha or Dubai. I believe that she'll have decent runs in IW and Miami.

Re: Ana's post AO swing (up to IW/Miami)
Doha is a 56-player draw though. She'll have a nice chance. And none of Maria, Kim or Serena are playing either of the Middle East tournaments.

Re: Ana's post AO swing (up to IW/Miami)
She rarely plays against those players. She can lose to any top 30 player. She should win in first round, but the second can be a problem already.
