So what? Stopping a grand slam FINAL for fireworks is disrespectful to both players and viewers, not to mention the fact that it stops momentum for one of the players.

It is what it is.
The fireworks are beyond the organizer's control. Moving the final any earlier could have prevented it, but I don't think anyone would predict the match to go as long as it did.

The players have an opportunity to play through it. The fireworks didnt stop a grand slam.

Anyway, same conditions for both players. Both are experienced enough to deal with it.

No player will create a movement to move the GS of the Asia Pacific to be elsewhere. This is perhaps the one tournament where the player voices are heard and taken into consideration.

It is the organizer's job to take into consideration things like that. What would happen if they had to stop play at 5:4 in the third set of a grand slam final?

1. TV Rights have a huge say in this matter.
2. The players (and crowd) were warned of this, before and when they were on court. Again, there's nothing more the organizers can do. As someone posted earlier, the world does not revolve around tennis. The organizers did it to the best of their abilities. And they were told they could play on during this time, they just chose not to (with good reason). Maybe the organizers could have closed the roof. That was perhaps the best option, but I'm sure the players could have heard the noise.
3. It's just like if it was a rain delay, frankly. You just have to deal with it. Both players have to cope with the environment when they play.

The fireworks are for Australia Day so while it is possible for the organizers to change the match start time or just sit down or maybe play though it.

The finals are very rarely held on Australia day

Agree. It definitely helped Vika. Li lost momentum and Vika finally showed some decent tennis.
