Helen was born on 20th April 1997 in Odessa, Ukraine. So she's 14 years old. She's coached by Eduard Makarov. She started tennis when she was 7 years old and her favourite surface is clay. Her favourite player is Rafael Nadal! She enjoys photography, music, movies and singing.
Helen's currently unranked on the WTA tour. She played $10,000 Solapur in India last month as a wildcard and reached the second round.
On the ITF junior circuit Helen's currently ranked #286 which is her career high. In 2011 she made her debut onto the circuit and currently has an unbeaten 20-0 record winning all four tournaments she played. In fact she only lost one set! She won G5 Head Cup, G5 Orange Cup, G5 President Cup and G4 Delhi ITF Junior Tennis Championships. She also won two U14 events, Akademik Cup and Tipos Piestany Cup, both in Slovakia. Overall she has an incredible 41-4 record in 2011 for her ITF junior circuit and Tennis Europe results.
According to the ITF junior circuit rankings she's in the Top 10 amongst the 14 year old in the world. She's ranked #42 on the Tennis Europe U16 rankings (her career high is #39) and finished 2011 as #9 on the Tennis Europe U14 rankings.
It will be exciting to see how Helen's career progresses. It's certainly off to a winning start.
These past few weeks Helen has been playing some G2 ITF junior events in South America. Understandably she had a tougher time than than the lower level events she was playing in at the end of last year, but she still managed to win some matches which will help her ranking.
The tour was probably a little bit disappointing for her, but she'll bounce back. Found this news profile of her from the juniortennis.ru youtube channel, no clue what they are saying

Well finally Helen is doing well again! She won a G2 in Serbia and beat some really good players! She also won the doubles title with Rebeka Stolmar. I think she'll be just outside the Top 100 now. Great that she seems to be back on track.
Helen started her season last week, she played G2 Donetsk City Cup and reached the final. She was Seed #2 and lost to the Seed #1 Viktoriya Lushkova in the final, 6-3 4-6 4-6. Quite close!
Thanks to this final, she moved up 31 spots in the rankings, with a new CHR of 65!
Playing G2 Trofeul D Sturdza this week as Seed #4. GL!
