How did I not notice? I'll watch again to see if it looks more like a heating pad. The commentators didn't mention so hopefully that means its not serious.

The tape/patch looks too low to be for her shoulder (at least directly).  Besides, considering her past, do you really think she'd be playing if she felt something wrong with her shoulder? |

that makes sense, but someone should tweet cronin or benethovang (ok i don't know his exact name, but he has a name on twitter for some tweets) to get them to ask maria about the tape in the press

Hopefully you're right You do have a point, Maria always makes smart decisions, so it's highly unlikely that she would play at all if she felt even the slightest pain in her shoulder...
