Re: 2012 RACE TO ISTANBUL YEC (Roland Garros Quarterfinals)
It may actually kill Azarenka if Sharapova wins RG, takes #1, takes the race. Then where would the fun be?
I need her dopey, pressed, low budget ass hanging around to make things interesting.

It would be so great to see what was the race standing after last year RG.

It's shame that Angie or Sara will have to leave Paris today

Clijsters still top 20 in the race I haven't seen her play since the AO semi against Azarenka

I'd rather have Azarenka at #1 and Maria at #2. I'm guessing they'll be swapping it throughout the year.

Maria always gets injured after ascending to no. 1 but if we want her to win the RG title this year it'll be inevitable

Re: 2012 RACE TO ISTANBUL YEC (Roland Garros Quarterfinals)
With this win Errani has 2840 pts in the rankings (52 weeks) and will move up to #14 (Kaia can still overtake her). 2630 of these points she scored this year only... (yes, I'm aware of the difference between scoring pts for the Race and the year long rankings).

Re: 2012 RACE TO ISTANBUL YEC (Roland Garros Quarterfinals)
caro still looking strong prior her time of the year.
bartoli has to improve her form, but WIM+olympics might boost her back into contention
I think Ivanovic or Jules can still improve positions - but the competition is closing quite rapidly.
in a month's time we've had prob. set the first 5 players in.
