Rightfully so. Without the Aussie Open, she´d ranked somewhere between Karatancheva and Minella in the race. She has been crap for a player of her qualities. She´ll most certainly fall behind Radwanska in the coming weeks, but if she is not careful, she´ll also lose the top 4 ranking/seeding.

if she totally fcks up clay. Karolina has 2000pts to defend, Stosur and Bartoli has more than a thousand too, Li basically top50 because of clay points.

Of course then needs to win everything on grass.

Maria's not as far behind Azarenka as I thought she was. She'll close the gap even more if she beats Radwanska tomorrow. I like that if she's going to get the #1 ranking she's gonna have to win a slam. That's how it should be.
