Ich kann mir schon vorstellen, dass die kleineren Turniere schon unbedingt jemanden wie Görges haben wollen, da sie dann doch vielleicht ein paar männliche Zuschauer anlocken könnte und sie dafür Antrittsgeld kassiert. Nur hat Görges bei diesen kleinen Turnieren sportlich zuletzt sehr dürftig abgeschnitten. Bis auf Luxemburg kam sie seit ihren Sieg in Bad Gastein 2010 in kein HF mehr.

Da hätte sie auch wie Kerber und Lisicki in Stanford spielen können.

Werfen wir mal einen Blick voraus in Richtung US Open.

Die 5 deutschen Topdamen sind natürlich für das Hauptfeld qualifiziert. Interessanter sieht es da in der Quali aus. Die Quali besteht aus 128 Teilnehmer in New York, davon sind 9 WCs darunter. Da im Hauptfeld in New York insgesamt 104 direkt hineinkommen, würde der Quali Cut-Off bei 223 liegen, wenn es keine PRs und Absagen geben würde. Durch Absagen wird er dann aber meistens bei 230+ liegen.

So sieht die Situation für die US Open Quali aus:
Dinah Pfizenmaier, Tatjana Malek, Annika Beck sind bereits sicher in der US Open Quali

Chancen haben noch diese Damen, wenn sie ca. 270 Punkte geholt haben bis zum 30. Juli 2012
Sarah Gronert 240
Kathrin Wörle 221
Kristina Barrois 214
Anna-Lena Friedsam 132

Friedsam hat natürlich nur sehr geringe Chancen, da sie auch nicht wie die anderen in der Wimbledon Quali mitspielen kann, wo es für nur einen Sieg gleich 40 Punkte gibt.

Ab sofort ist dann der Qualistand für New York unter "Road to New York" im 1.Beitrag dieses Threads zu finden.

Was will denn Görges mit diesen ganzen Starts bei den Miniturnieren.
Schon Bad Gastein nächste Woche ist fast so unterirdisch besetzt, dass das Finale für Görges praktisch Pflicht ist.
Will Görges mit aller Gewalt unbedingt einen Turniersieg?

Barthel könnte vielleicht auch in Bastad spielen, hat sie jedenfalls im letzten Jahr gemacht.

Find ich schon ein bisschen komisch, dass Mona in beiden Wochen nach Wimbledon nicht gemeldet hat; oder gibts da irgendwelche großen ITF-Events, die sie womöglich spielen könnte? Wobei sie natürlich auch beide Wochen vor Wimbledon spielt und eine Pause auch nicht verkehrt wäre...

ITF-Turniere als Top 40 Spielerin sollte sie jetzt nicht mehr spielen. Vielleicht will sie noch nicht so früh in die USA und auch nicht mehr auf Sand spielen. Eine Woche später kommt ja noch Baku.

Kerber und Lisicki werden dann auch etwas Stress haben. Erst Europa, dann USA, dann wieder Europa und dann wieder USA.

Tja, eigentlich schon. Errani wird ja wohl kaum antreten. Letztes Jahr war sie aber auch schon Top-Seed, meine ich. Lief dann ja nicht ganz so optimal.

Ich frag mich wieso sie nicht Eastbourne spielt. Klar, ihre Erwartungen etwas in Wimbledon zu reißen, werden nicht sehr groß sein, aber so ganz ohne Gras-Vorbereitung..

Eigentlich kann Görges auch auf Rasen spielen. War doch jetzt nicht so schlecht, was sie da in Wimbledon letztes Jahr gespielt hat. Aber anscheinend mag sie Bad Gastein als Ort wohl auch sehr. Punkte für das Ranking würde sie aber erst ab dem HF dazu bekommen.
