Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
Amazing season thus far and the finale looks promising.
Who is watching and what are your thoughts thus far ?
Claire Danes puts in a great performance as an obsessive C.I.A. officer who suspects a returning Marine P.O.W. of espionage.
Best new show of 2011 for me.

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
I liked the series premiere but my interest waned over the few episodes.
It's still pretty decent though.

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
YES YES YES. I meant to start a thread on this too
I am just loving this show At times it feels like a 24 wannabe, but this is right up my alley. Really looking forward to the finale!

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
Its great. Kinda weird seeing Morena Baccarin not playing a villain. Gonna watch the episode later, anyway Saul is so the mole!

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
In the last episode, Claire Danes put in the best performance i have seen on TV in a while. I hope the Emmy's took notice.

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
decent season finale. The only thing i didn't buy was Abu Nazir being so reasonable and not only let Brody live but also buy into his "i can influence" policy by being close to VP/POTUS BS.

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
Pretty awesome finale Yeap, I agree Abu Nazur was too forgiving, kinda out of character Really interesting what will Carrie's role is gonna be next season, and of course, she figured everything out just seconds before her memory was being wiped out Claire Danes should soo win the Golden Globe, great overall performance by her, I love Julianna and the chick from The Killing did a god job, Callie is cute as well BUT Clairde must take this Not sure about best male and Best Drama is off limits Game of Thrones is so winning it.

I hope Claire Danes sweeps the Best Actress in a TV series awards next year. I hope this opens the doors for her towards getting more interesting movie roles as well.

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
I don't think Nazir's actions are too surprising. He didn't strike me as one who does the dirty things hands on.
I'm kinda abit underwhelmed with the final scene. It was astounding to see Claire in the shock therapy, but I don't want to wait till next season to see how she went.

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
It's not going to be fun to see Carrie going all rogue next season. I'd prefer her to still be in the CIA. Such a mess. Most everything up until this finale was bliss.

Re: Showtime Drama: "Homeland"
Just downloaded and watched the first season.
Couldn't stand any of the characters. Don't like the actor that plays Brody, Carrie was incredibly annoying, and Saul is very clearly working with/for Nazir. BUT with that being said, the story was extremely addicting.
The finale was good and set things up nicely for next season. Although it was dumb to see Dana so suspicious of Brody and then when Carrie came to her she acted like she had no idea what she was talking about. Little things like that separate a good show (which this is) from a great show, but maybe next season will be better. Don't know if I'll be able to stomach more of Claire Danes and Damian Lewis though.

I think Dana was protecting her father. She didn't know what her father was up to, but didn't want him to get into trouble for anything.
