Re: Will Pavlyuchenkova win a slam in her career?

She has the talent and is only twenty years old. She has so many years ahead of her to improve her serve, fitness and mentality. You can't buy the effortless ballstriking talent she has. Nastia's time as a GS winner will inevitably come.

Not with that fitness and serve she won't.

this.

she has potential (whatever that means), but so many things are not quite where they should be, fitness being the most obvious.

do "for sure" and "doubtlessly" cancel each other out?

Re: Will Pavlyuchenkova win a slam in her career?

Not with her current fitness level. There's lots and lots to like. In fact after Petra, I think she has the biggest upside of any of the generation suck-ers.

But girl's gonna have to work on the fitness. Not gonna win anything big when you're carrying so much junk around.

Her and Kvitova will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years me thinks.

I think so too. Kvitova has flourished already and will probably get better. Pav needs time, but she's younger too. I think she will get there, whether it is in 2 years or in 5.

Re: Will Pavlyuchenkova win a slam in her career?

She basically just needs to get fitter I pretty much had her pencilled in to win RG during that huge lead against Fran She will probably win a couple of French Open's just based on the lack of quality clay courter's going around.

Re: Will Pavlyuchenkova win a slam in her career?

Exactly...it's precisely her play during RG that's the reason I'm big on her. If she ever gets serious about fitness, she and Petra are sooooo gonna dominate the next couple of years.

Re: Will Pavlyuchenkova win a slam in her career?

GOATlychenkova won Oeiras playing at 10%, so winning a slam shouldn't be a problem for her.
