Strong rumours:

Teemu Selänne, Jokerit (FEL) (takes his time to see how negotiations go, practically confirmed to play there if lockout continues)
TJ Oshie, Västerås (SWE2)

Speculation:
Henrik Zetterberg, Blues (FEL)
Scott Hartnell, KalPa (FEL) (Partial owner of the team)
Claude Giroux, KalPa (FEL)
Hal Gill, Lukko (FEL) (In interview he said - well why not (played there 05)

Would´t surprise me if Jokerit signs someone like Alex Pietrangelo for one month. Team has league limit three foreigners, but one of them is out for about a month. Also allthough near bankrupt, Ilves might be chosen destination for Tuukka Rask. Or SaiPa. Or Jokerit (brother plays there), no need for goalie though.

Re: 2011/12 NHL Thread

No NHL news, but couple lockout news. Swedish Elitseriens one sided announcement that they make only year long contracts is against nations labour laws. So, state intervened and gave them 30 million krona (about USD3 million) threat sanction that goes in effect if they refuse to play by the rules. Shortly after that ALL but two teams made silent agreement that they will not hire lockout players. Sure enough MODO who didn´t agree promptly signed Alex Steen

Valtteri Fippula has offered to give consulting help to Jokerit. Who would you bring first from Detroit? Niklas Kronwall (my comment of that Datsyuk is already in KHL... Zetterberg would eat his icetime and team is in desperate need of soloid D-man)

Slow-ish, but 99.9% accurate NHL lockout transaction

All 4 NHLers that have played here have scored point in every game.
Jussi Jokinen only one with two games. Goal in first, assist in second.
Jason Demers assist. But those NHLs fourth liners made this leagues level look really bad. Petrell 3 goals, Joensuu 2 goals Alexander Barkov jr. is awesome prospect. But 4+4 in 4 games? Couple weeks over 17. On a road to 120 points (league record is 93)

edit: couple FEL rumours
James vanRiemsdyk, Jokerit
Frans Nielsen Lukko

Re: 2011/12 NHL Thread

Thought that I will not be the one that raises this thread. Again. Sorry, but I just have to

First time in Hockey History reigning Norris Trophy winner plays in Europe. Tomorrow, and for Jokerit! Rumour was that he might come to us, yeah right, like we can afford him. Insurance alone is 100K euros/month. 7 million man might want to get paid too, so add at least 100K/month. And we still got him! For a month, but that is more than enough for all. Every extra day goes to "yougottabekiddingme" category. Can only hope that Selänne wants to join team before Erik bolts!

In twenty years time ppl remember this visit as Tappara fans remember Fleurys visit of -94. One word - magic.

edit: Jokerit playoff crowd - > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWuSq7cemWo (I used to be there ) Of that clip 06.00-> OT goal at 79.54. Finns just leave... don´t think so. For me, most memorable goal of decade. And believe you me, I have seen plenty!

I take that back! Granlunds goal against Russia is my choice for goal of the decade, even of all time! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JazGHYDwp-s

Go ahead, show me a better one

Semifinal. Game 0-0 and he does what...
