Greatest Songs-Part 5 and Write-Ins
OK, this time its a bit different. I am only giving you one song per artist, and you can only vote for one song. The top 6 advance. In addition, you may post a write-in for a song not yet mentioned. The top 6 write-ins will also advance. Do not cast write-in votes for the songs mentioned in CHOCO's thread, as I have already given them all spots in the next round. I will only accept the first write-in vote from each poster, so don't waste it. If you change your mind, however, you may go back and edit it.

I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston
The most moving song ever sang. I hate Twitney, but that song exemplifies all that she can do, plus being written by Dolly Parton helps!

Now, this one was VERY difficult. I narrowed it down to 3, "Crying", "American Pie" and "Wicked Game", eventually deciding on "American Pie". I haven't heard of several of the songs. Are "American Woman" and "Open Arms" the songs later covered by Lenny Kravitz and Mariah?

I have no idea if Mariah covered "Open Arms" or not. "American Woman" is the song that Lenny covered, yes.

Good call, Double Fault. That one was under strong consideration for this poll.

That should say "Open Arms" covered by Mariah Carey incidentally, in case anyone's been living on the moon for the last 10 years, and doesn't know who I'm talking about!
