The annoying thing about these ITFs is that they seem to be promoting tennis in rural areas in EVERY state besides NSW, Why promote tennis in Sydney when they already have high participation rates and an ATP/WTA tournament. Country tennis in NSW needs to be revitalised, they seem to be forgetting about it. Let's not forget, Evonne Goolagong and Margaret Court both came from country NSW. Goolagong born in Griffith and Court born in Albury.

Mildura is as good as rural NSW (even if it is Victoria )

I want a tournament in April in Lyneham like we used to have a few years ago

I need an excuse to procrastinate from Uni next year

Re: 2012 ITF Calendar

A $50K in Osprey, Florida has been added in the second week of Premier Miami. Nice scheduling and supposed strong draw for players staying in the US for Charleston.

Kinda weird that first week of Miami has 5 $25K being played, just one in Western Europe (UK) and the rest in Russia/Asia (Russia, Kazakhastan, India, Thailand).

Cali confirmed Hospitality and becomes one of the Top 5 challengers in the world

USTA schedule until the end of June has been out for weeks now.

Looks like at least 8 100k+H ITF + 2 challengers in 2012.

Re: 2012 ITF Calendar

CTA full year schedule was out.you can see it here:http://images.sport.org.cn/File/2011...1638315328.pdf
There are only six challengers next year.
1 x 100K+H,1 x 75K+H,1 x 75K ,1 x 50K+H,2 x 25K
I think that CTA is just stupid to have no 10K and only two 25K.

02 Jan / 08 Jan Quanzhou $50000+H
09 Jan / 15 Jan Pingguo $25000
12 Mar / 18 Mar Sanya $25000
02 Apr / 08 Apr Wenshan $75000
30 Jul / 05 Aug Beijing $75000+H
10 Sep / 16 Sep Ningbo $100000+H

It makes all the low-ranked Chinese girls play in Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, and Japan instead of staying at home. Don't know what the CTA is thinking. It's hard to develop talent with no futures opportunities at all.

Yeah but if you look at AMTs and OJTs, they are all in the country. There is a gold OJT in Albury for Margaret Court. Even though they are behind in the seniors, it's good to start with the juniors. Also, Australian tennis is a lot more rural then other countries. E.g. China: Beijing, Ningbo etc.

Even for the Junior event, there is only 1G3 and 2G2s, with all other are G5

only 1×25K the whole year
