European Cup is an U16 event, also an U14 event.
held twice a year, once in Summer, and once in Winter.

Team was Vera, Anna Tchekvetadze and Olga Panova (Kirilenko had to withdraw) but we won cup
I did some stuff on it in March time in Junior Section |

Vera plays her 1st WTA event in Warsaw as a WC into qualies
1st rd is Klaudia Jans (POL) should be Vera's all the way and could lead to a possible 2nd rd encounter vs Kaia Kanepi

Udachi Vera D! Eggy, do you think she will be named to the Connelly Cup team this year? They will probably have a new team this year. I'm hoping Maria Sharapova, Vera Douchevina and Maria Kirilenko are on the team. There really is no reason for the same team from last year to play. Is there?
And this would be a good chance for the Russian Tennis Federation to finally get Maria Sharapova to play a team competition for Russia. And since the players get rankings points for play the Connelly Cup, I would think that might entice Maria Sharapova to play the Connelly Cup. They get computer points, don't they, Eggy?

bad luck Vera lost 1-6 6-7(2) to Ruano-Pascual
gave her a good fright in 2nd set and that will come in good experience
Clay is also not her fav surface either. |
