Shahar in Asia 2011
Does anybody have any thoughts on how Shahar will finish this year?

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
After reading the interview with her current coach, I think maybe there's a chance she'll have a decent run

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
Due to some withdrawals, Shahar got in as a 16th seed in Tokyo. Seems to have a decent shot to reach the third round.

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
Shahar managed to avoid a disgraceful loss and came back from 4-6, 0-4 and a MP at 4-5 to beat WC Pliskova 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. She hit 10 DFs and won 7/25 BPs.

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
at least she won. That's more than she manages to do lately.
New happy tweets from Shahar. Glad this time it fits the occasion

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
According to someone who was there at the match and saw it all said that Shahar was hitting tons of UEs and DFs and missing opportunities left and right and it was until she solidified her comeback in the second set at 5-5 that she started turning into a more aggressive player. Which is good but she needs to start out with that controlled aggression.

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
This is just as bad as '08 if not worse.
She needs another coaching change, and she needs it fast.

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
Doubt it's the coaches. Her game has regressed into utter shit. She needs a couple MM tournaments to gain some confidence like she did in Gaungzhou and Tashkent in 09.

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
Zakopalova
Hope Peer's able to play some other low category tournaments so that she gets more points. I'm pretty sure she's gonna hit the top 10 eventually

Re: Shahar in Asia 2011
Lost 1-6, 5-7 in R1 of Beijing to MJMS. SF points down the drain.
