Re: How many times do you bounce the ball before serving?

I used to bounce just once as a child, now 0-3, depends on a situation and how it actually fits my service motion

Once or twice, just long enough for me to gather my thoughts. I dont see it as some quirky add-on to my game or anything.

Around 2-4. I could never bounce it out of a la Djoko, that'd piss me off too much.

2-3 for me. Again I would have too much to think if I bounced the ball like Novak

Zero.

I don't know why it's so popular to bounce the ball. It feels like a completely unnatural motion to me.

Re: How many times do you bounce the ball before serving?

If I have to catch my toss like Ivanovic, I'll usually just bounce once before re-tossing . Or if I get a let, probably just one bounce before redoing.

Re: How many times do you bounce the ball before serving?

4 times on my first serve. twice on my second serve ( I have this paranoid thing that it needs to be an even number lol).

I always bounce it twice.

Re: How many times do you bounce the ball before serving?

My only superstition is bouncing the ball on a serve. On a first serve, I bounce 5 times and 2 on a second. If a let, I bounce it 3 times

Re: How many times do you bounce the ball before serving?

For me as I'm bouncing the ball I'm also doing some knee bend motion, which helps with my overall serve. My serve is a combination of Tatiana Golovin & Jelena Jankovic I think these days
