You can be proud of Vika. She fought her heart out today and it's hard to imagine anyone making more of a match out of it against a Serena in this form than she did today.

Re: Womens Tennis in General
It's surprising that Kerber did not make the final. Anyway, I think Serena will win.

Re: Womens Tennis in General
I really want Aga to win - but I fear it might be a very one-sided win for Serena.

I cannot remember, when I last watched a slam final. Men or women... Oh wait ... I remember now ... USO 2009
If Serena Williams doesn't find her A game, she'll go down to Aga. Could be an interesting match - for those watching ...

I'll never understand how a tennis fan can not watch a slam final, no matter who's playing. I mean, come on! It's a slam final!

If its a final between two bbb's I can quite easily see why the interest might not be there...

Even ball bashers. The're bound to be high quality ball bashers if they make it to a slam final. But it's not my intention to condemn anyone for not watching - to each his own. I just find it surprising, that's all.

You’re not the only one who find it surprising, but I feel the same way as TennisFan66.
I’ll rarely watch a match if I don’t like at least one of the players, if I don’t expect several long and exciting rallies and many quality shots. I try to watch the best matches available, played by the players I care for. I focus on the best matchups. And I often find them at the beginning of the tournaments, not at the end. I, almost quit the French Open before the end of the 4th round.
Sometime, I watch the final of a GC, just to be utterly disappointed. For example, both occasions where Zvonareva has been destroyed and humiliated in her grand slams finals.
And, unfortunately, I don’t think that ballbashers necessarily bring their best games in a final. Think about Sharapova at the beginning of the year

Indeed they may, however, one shot bash bamb tennis just isn't my thing... i sooner watch cricket... As others i preferer hard fought tactical rallies. As you allready know i completely stopped watching tennis for many years due to the direction was taking.

Re: Womens Tennis in General
I basically watch everything. I even took a week of from work to be able to watch it all this week and I'll probably do the same for the USO.

I agree. I don't necessarily pay strict attention to every single point if a final involves two players I don't care about but I do watch every final. The 2011 U.S. Open final I wasn't interested in until it became apparent that Sam had a chance to win.
I strongly suspect that Agnieszka will be destroyed but if that happens at least the match should be quick.
I do watch the men also but I sometimes tune out until near the end of sets. For example, I missed large portions of the nearly six hour Australian Open final this year and I don't get much enjoyment out of watching French Open finals (with the exception of 2009).

I just wouldn't have any fun watching this because, to be honest, I don't want any of these two players to win the tournament and it's too frustrating watching others have success when your faves are out.
With that being said, the match is going to be rather boring as well. Serena is going to serve a ton of aces (yawn) and Radwanska will struggle to hold until she gets broken and Serena wins.

That almost certainly is what will end up happening but there is a chance, a very slim chance, that Aga will shock everyone and win. If Rosol can beat Nadal than anything can happen.

+1 ... as much as I'd love Aga to win, I agree, this is likely what'll happen.
