I still think she sounds more sultry in Russian and more girlish in English.

She has a nice voice either way, but it's interesting how the timbre changes. My old college roommate from Columbia was like that. He sounded even more different in Spanish than English.

Lena was born to be on TV (as a tennis player, as a tv presentator, whatever) I was thinking, someone THAT beautiful can't be destined to stay at home cooking and cleaning or working in some office she was born to make us dribble (and many other things) for her (literally for some, we can find many cases here on TF)

BTW I really want to know what she said about Maxim on that video

and, I'll start to work on a new video tribute for Lena (hopefully I'll finish it for her birthday) so if you have any suggestions (like music, good points, good matches) let me know

Great idea, Maca!!! I've always associated "Killer Queen" by Queen with Lena, it seems to me the lyrics were inspired by her (She's a Killer Queen / Gunpowder, Gelatine / Dynamite with a laser beam / Guaranteed to blow your mind / Anytime). Plus you can connect some of Lena's off court activities (Kak ty prekrasna music video) with the lyrics at the beginning of the song, moreover there's "She spoke just like a baroness", which for me is a cue to add Lena speaking French. Maybe someone of our Russian posters can suggest a suitable Russian song.

You're also right Lena was born to be on TV, I've also had crazy fantasies about her starring in Mr&MRS Smith, Nikita or as some other badass character

Well, my idea is make 2 videos, one for her birthday and another for the anniversary of her retirement (after almost a year I still start to cry everytime I remember it at least she seems happy)
