Mon premier Roland…

Je me sens à l’aise ici.

A balles réelles !

It was closer than I expected. Unlucky draw against the top seed.

Re: Victoria Larriere

Here are Victoria's latest results. Not a lot of success unfortunately.

2012 has been a very frustrating year for Victoria. She's really struggled with injuries and since the Australian Open really hasn't been able to put a good run together. It's a shame because her form at the end of 2011 was very promising and she seemed to be heading towards the Top 100. After the US Open she has some huge points to defend such as her $50,000 Istanbul title and WTA Tashkent quarterfinal. If she doesn't start winning a lot of matches her ranking will plummet.

$50,000 Denver

1R: (4)Victoria Larriere (FRA) df. Asia Muhammed (USA) 6-3 6-7(5) 7-5
2R: Jennifer Elie (USA) df. Victoria Larriere (FRA) 6-3 6-3

$50,000 Yakima

1R: (3)Victoria Larriere (FRA) df. Kanae Hisami (JPN) 6-3 6-0
2R: (3)Victoria Larriere (FRA) df. Lauren Embree (USA) 4-6 7-6(6) 6-1
3R: (Q)Mayo Hibi (JPN) df. Victoria Larriere (FRA) 6-2 6-4

$25,000 Granby

Gabriela Dabrowski (CAN) df. (3)Victoria Larriere (FRA) 7-5 3-0 ret.

Re: Victoria Larriere

Much needed win and 40 points for Vic who won 63 61 against Ivanova. Although her opponent was in very poor form, I take any win in these times. Next week her 70 points from Istanbul will drop off and soon her 86 points from Tashkent, which could have taken her out of top 300 I don't really expect anything against Kristyna Pliskova, let's just hope she puts up a good fight.

Finally a great win! The 40 points will help her defend some of the points which are soon to drop off. Hopefully she can make it competitive against Kristyna.
