Just simply has not gotten anything together after coming back from that injury. Lack of confidence, game breaking down, Im shocked shes not getting confidence from doubles... I think a new coach and new approach for singles is needed quickly. She needs to play a lot of ITFs after NY.

She is a really good player and she always reminds me of a cat on the court. Hope she can regroup fast.
Magdalena Maleeva's last words at her send-off:
"There is a saying that there is no friendship in tennis, but I've proven the opposite. After all of them are here, it means that there is friendship and I want to thank them for being here tonight. I hope the fans are happy too."

I don't know but I worry that it might be more than simply a lack of confidence. I just hope that knee injury did not affect her speed around the court, but right now I wouldn't rule out that as a possibility.
I don't think it has anything to do with confidence. She just hasn't been able to play as well since her injury. I think she's slowly getting back into form though. And she really didn't play badly at her match today (which I was at.) Bychy just played a little better in the big moments (most notably those 2 tiebreaks.)
It's probably the knee operation but her singles form was on the decline a bit after the French Open last year (8-11 in singles isn't too great). I think she might have returned a bit too quickly after the operation too. I don't think her scheduling has been particularly wise for a slumping player either and I suppose doubles has taken a bit of focus away from singles. But now I generally just think it's confidence. I was really impressed when I saw her against Zheng Jie in Birmingham and I think she just needs one tournament to turn things around because she can clearly still play well (see Cincinnati doubles).
