It was a strategic bagel, at least in my opinion. Once she went down the double break, I think she decided to preserve her energy the rest of the way.

Yeah, but you simply don´t go down 0-4 to Cornet. When you are down 0-30 in the first game you say to yourself, okay this is ridiculous, it´s Cornet and I shouldn´t be losing like that, and then you win 6-1 6-2 and go home.

Yeah, but Julia has about as much confidence in her game as everyone else does right now. At that point, she had probably already mentally tanked herself in that first set. She gets frustrated very easily, even the less observant fan can tell you that. Basically... At least for the rest of this year, it's going to be an uphill battle for her mentally in her matches. Unless she starts to feel it again. And when she does... Well, watch out.
