Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Hopefully our girls in the 200-300 mark can do some damage next week and get their rankings a last boost before they head overseas....

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Mon retired with the score at 4-3 will she ever get a run without injuries? Liv won 6-4 6-1. And Vicky beat Abbie 6-4 6-2.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
This is starting to look like what we have seen in past years - where we lay on an easy $25k challenger for the foreigners to scoop up everything. Hope we can see a Liv - Vic final to salvage some pride.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
I quite like that juniors or 100-200 ranked players stay on after the AO to play in one or two of our ITFs. At least it gives our strugglers a chance of playing someone different rather than the same old Aussies they've been playing for years or the same old Asian/Brit tourists. The biggest surprise for me in checking an Aussie ITF draw is to see that one of the Sema sisters ISN'T in it..
If we are supposedly 'laying on an easy 25k challenger for foreigners', what about the NZL 25k? They don't even look like any of their players will get in the draw (singles OR qualifying) without the aid of a WC...

Barty vs Patterson round 1. Barty should get a win. Intrested to see how Danielle Wagland goes here.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Probably a lot of the foreigners stayed on thinking it would be easy points in the Aussie $25k challengers. Hasn't quite worked out that way for most of them I would imagine.

Can't get much worse for Tammi..... how is she affording to live? It seems like she's won maybe 2 out of her last 20 matches.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
^^ Pity because her game is pretty good. No real weaknesses and strikes the ball well. Looks a bit moody (passive agressive) to me.
