Re: Ana Konjuh

I don't know much about most of these girls, but it seems to me that Ana got a pretty great draw. Should definately qualify. Now let's just make sure she doesn't sleep for a set and a half each time...

Re: Ana Konjuh

Ana played with Arcangioli twice this year, both easy wins in two sets. Second round should be even easier as Eklund and Stoll are horrible this year. Kathinka could be tough but I believe that Ana will qualify easily

Let's go

Re: Ana Konjuh

Arcangioli - a 19 y.o. with a c-h ranking of 403...nuff said. Never won anything better than a 10k and is on a 5 match losing streak in singles (doing only marginally better in doubles).

Eklund - an 18 y.o. on a c-h ranking of 1058 who's never won a title. Her last 6 tournaments were 10k's and her best result on them a quarterfinal (nuff said).

Stoll - an unranked 17 y.o. who lost her last 9 singles matches and has also never won a title.

Von Deichmann - a 19 y.o. currently at a c-h #414, and has one 10k title to her name. Has had decent first 4 months of the year with 3 appearances in SF's or further on a 10k level, but has been going past the second round almost exclusively on futures. Has reached the final of a 25k doubles two weeks ago so is probably not in THAT bad of a form, but overall I would not consider her a serious threat.

So to summarize: boooooooo-riiiiing.

Re: Ana Konjuh

Judging by the info available from the tournament organisers and the quality of their website I'd say chances of any streaming from this upcoming tournament are roughly...zero. Anyone knows around what time should Ana be on court (I'm guessing there won't be live scoring for qualies, of course)?

I love Mia but I doubt she will win a game against Ana Not until she finally becomes Estonian at least

Re: Ana Konjuh

Wins the third to 3 but I really don't know why she needed all of this so early in the tournament. Got broken 5 times today, I mean really... But yes, a win is a win and tomorrow is another day and all that. Let's hope tomorrow brings something better and more convincing

And I mean, she is still nominally child, but really. So, please stop with so such high expectations from Ana not in every match, but now seems in every set! (saying in best attention )

I think I understand your post but in ma re's defence, I think he is more surprised at the bad form she is in rather than actually being mad

Re: Ana Konjuh

From Ana's web:

Ana has returned to the court. She missed the tournament in Spain (Sevilla, prize money of 25,000 U.S. dollars) due to slight inflammation of the tendon on her right hand, and didn’t train for several days. However the injury has cleared up and she had no problems travelling to France where she plans to play in two competitions.
