Re: Ana Konjuh

If anybody doesn't know yet, the doubles final is in the Junior Video Thread.
So the ranking is out and Ana is on the 11th place, as expected, but has the same points as Abanda, who's on the 10th.

Only threats should be Kulichkova, Siniakova, Ostapenko and Sara Torribes Tormo.

I only see Kulichkova and Siniakova as threats. Ostapenko and Torribes Tormo are no where near as developed. I don't see either of them causing trouble. I even struggle to se Kulichkova causing trouble

Ana has shown her supremacy

Re: Ana Konjuh

Ana played only one match against Jelena in ITF juniors and lost 3-6 1-6, at Perin Memorial in Croatia, clay, 2011. Bad match-up maybe. Ana's game got much better, but Jelena is definitely a threat.
Sorribes Tormo has shown some great form on clay a few months back.

I still think that Jelena isn't a threat because she hasn't had many good wins
I know Ana hasn't had any amazing wins either, but her scorelines in general have been much more convincing. For example, Jelena's G1 win in Charleroi was filled with 3 set matches against not so difficult opponents, compared to Ana's dominance in Offenbach. I would be surprised if Ana lost, very surprised.

BTW, I was suspended for creating a second account, which I didn't know was illegal

Here is a nice video of Ana that I have come across. It is in Croatian though, so some of the posters may be in trouble
There is also an interview from last years Orange Bowl which is in English

There is a clip on youtube about Ana.Someone from Serbia wrote there that they have better player Ivana Jorovic and that Ivana defeted Ana 3 times few years ago. They underestimate Ana I would like to say. I don't have those results. They were little girls. Things can change rapidly in such a young age. Ana is much stronger now.
Jorović has got 2xG5,1xG4 title this year. W-L 28:5(LOST:Katerina Siniakova,Vivian Zlatanova,Ipek Soylu,Bernarda Pera,Petra Uberalova). CH-91
Ana has got 2xG4, 1XG2, 2XG1 title + QF Wimbl. + final Wimbl.(doubles). W-L 35:5 CH-11
Yesterday Uberalova def. Jorović 61 63. Montserrat Gonzalez def. Uberalova this year 2x 2:0 and Ana def. Monserat 2x 2:0. So, from all this I don't see any big threat. Ana has got much better results this year.

Yes, she def. Bencic in SF, but lost in final(Bernarda Pera). So, she is still not consistent like Ana, but for sure she will be very good. We will see next week.
