Re: Ana Konjuh
Ana KONJUH (CRO) / Riko SAWAYANAGI (JPN) 6-3 6-1 Marie-Ambroisine FAURE (FRA) / Corina JAEGER (SUI)
Nevertheless she is still alive in doubles, she and her Japanese partner made through to QF and those 5 new points will bring her new CH next week

I don't know...I think it's time for her to take a rest for a week or two...but not just yet, she is still in doubles competition...

In just 8 months from no ranking at all, Ana managed to enter top 100.She played her first junior tournament in August last year and she is not defending no points till August this year.
Sad, disappointing and unexpected loss today but overall very impressive from Ana
Ana, with only 14 events played, is now fifth among girls born after 1996. She's behind Abanda (13 events), Bencic (20), Kudermetova (17) and Ostapenko (22).

Re: Ana Konjuh
It's really too bad that Ana lost because her half of the draw is wide open: three of the four seeds lost in the first round

Re: Ana Konjuh
Ana got some revenge for her loss to Paterova: in the doubles QF, she and Sawayanagi beat Paterova/Vajdova, who were seeded #3.
Unfortunately, they withdrew from their SF match. It's almost certainly due to Sawayanagi, who earlier retired from her singles QF match.
The meager ranking points won this week (7.5) might still allow Ana to break into the top 90 next week.
Better luck at your next tournament, Ana!

Ana is in the MD of next week's G1 in Italy. In R1 she plays a Q. The winner gets the #16 seed, Benoit.
Good luck, Ana--pick up some points!

^ Excellent result from Ana. She beat the world #83, who is almost three years older, without too much trouble: 63 63

Good luck, Ana!
