Re: Ana Konjuh

City of Florence (G2)

Singles R32: Ana KONJUH (CRO) 3-6 6-2 6-0 Barbora STEFKOVA (CZE)
Doubles R16: Ana KONJUH (CRO) / Adrijana LEKAJ (CRO) 6-0 6-0 Elena MALTSEVA (RUS) / Petra UBERALOVA (SVK) [2]

Good win in singles, as Stefkova was the highest-ranked non-seed. And thunderous win in doubles: a double bagel against the #2 seeds

Ana will get yet another nice bump up in the rankings

Next to Ana's name in the draw (and on the entry list), it says "(16E)." Anybody know what that means?

Re: Ana Konjuh

Very nice...She beat 2.5 years older girl who played more then 10 senior tournaments while Ana didn't play at all senior tennis. This result will lunch her up to #150.

Ana should play her QF match without pressure, she done enough this week...Good luck Ana!!!

With today's win, Ana will jump up to ~130 in the rankings (currently 179), and 7th among players born after 1996.

Re: Ana Konjuh

So what, junior ranking is irrelevant. I hope they learn from mistakes with the older sister, her family have enough money for good development.

We're just having fun here. Don't take it so seriously. In the grand scheme of things, pro ranking--and tennis itself--is irrelevant too
