Re: Career Prize Money Leaders
There are many active players in the top 50 (currently 22). Obviously this is because prize money has increased a lot over the years.
(see 18 time Slam winner Chris Evert down at #24 )
Not surprisingly Caroline Wozniacki is the youngest woman in the top 50 at #22. Along with Azarenka (#41) and Aga Radwanska (#49) the leading money makers of their generation.
In fact you wont find a player younger than Caroline in the top 150. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is at #151 with 1.585 million dollars.
In two years the top 3 women may have retired and Svetlana Kuznetsova could be the top money making active player. Maria Sharapova is only 1.5m behind her though.

Yes, it is pretty weird to see a 0-slam winner like Dementieva ahead of multiple slam winners like Evert, Sharapova, Capriati, Pierce and only about 20,000 dollars behind Seles. You should adjust this list for inflation

No thanks. To much work
However, Dementieva ahead of Sharapova has nothing to do with inflation.

Amazingly, Caroline has earned as much prize money the last 8 months (since August 2010), as she had in her entire career until then (July 2005-July 2010)!

Yes, winnning those 5 "Tier 1" titles was awarding. 2 Slam SF and the YEC final helped too

Turns out Rennae Stubbs hasn't retired after all! She overtakes Suarez this week.
24 Active players in the top 50 (Liezel Huber pushing Anke Huber out of the top 50)

Yeah, would be a nightmare.
I did find some adjusted numbers somewhere, but those were only adjusted from time of retirement of each player. So not very useful.

Re: Career Prize Money Leaders
I can really see Wozniacki ending at least in the top 3 by the end of her career.
Already at #22 at 20 years old and still winning.

Hopefully Serena will comeback and increase her figure, but if not , she is still around 9 million dollars ahead of Kim.
Kim earned about 5 million in 2010, so it would take another 24 successful months to reach Serena. Probably 3 slams + some other good results. Considering 2011 is likely her last 'full' schedule I doubt she can do it.
Venus is 5 million behind her sister, so if she makes a succesful return (and Serena doesn't) I suppose that's possible.
Other than those two I think no one can touch Serena for at least 4-5 years (Sveta/Maria is around 17/19 million behind). Could take much longer.
