Ich gebe ihr maximal noch 24 Monate auf der Tour. Dann geht sie studieren. Hat Abitur und die Schinderei auf itfebene nicht nötig. Und sie scheint auch bodenständig rational genug zu sehen, dass hier Potential fehlt um was zu gewinnen.

Sie hat jetzt eben gerade erst die Top 100 geknackt. Soll sie jetzt ihre Karriere beenden bloss weil sie gegen die aktuell wohl beste Hartplatz-Spielerin der Welt keine Chance hatte?

Es gibt überhaupt kein Grund zu verzagen, auch wenn sie gestern verloren hatte war ihre Entwicklung im Vergleich zu ihrem ersten Match gegen Vika überdeutlich. Sie hat sich in den 14 Monaten so stark verbessert, wieso sollte sie denn jetzt aufhören?

Karriereende-Prognosen sind dieses Jahr anscheinend en vogue. Sie ist gerade mal 21 und steht aktuell auf Position ~100, wieso sollte sie sich nicht verbessern können?

Wenn man Tennis mag, und so wirken ihre Facebook-Posts, dann ist eine solide Top 100-Platzierung voll in Ordnung, weil es so durch die GS-Main Draws ordentlich Geld gibt.
Es können nur 10 Spielerinnen in den Top 10 sein , und nur weil man nicht dazugehört muss man nicht nach 3 Jahren aufhören.

Solange sie sich in den Top 100 halten kann und die GS spielen kann, gibt es doch wirklich keinen Grund auch nur an ein Karriereende zu denken mit Anfang 20, das ist nun wirklich riesiger Blödsinn Grade in ihrer Situation, wo sie vor 2 Jahre noch nichtmal davon geträumt hätte. Und so realistisch einschätzen können, dass sie wohl die Top 10 oder so kaum packt, wird sie sich wohl auch.


Zum Match gestern: War wirklich etwas dumm gelaufen... 3, 4, 5 Spiele hätte sie schon gewinnen können, aber sie hat einfach die Big Points schlecht gespielt (mehrfach dann einfache Bälle verschlagen, grade auf der Vorhand glaube ich) oder Azarenka war dort zu gut. Es gingen so viele Spiele über Einstand.
Man könnte vielleicht bemänglen, dass sie etwas mehr hätte variieren können, mal nen Slice, Stop oder mehr Winkel spielen, weil von der Grundlinie mitzuballern, was sie zum Teil versucht hat, so wird sie Azarenka natürlich nicht sehr gefährlich. Aber ist auch einfacher gesagt als getan gegen eine Azarenka, die natürlich ein konstant sehr hohes Tempo spielt mit großer Sicherheit.

Alles in allem war das Match auf jeden Fall besser als in Paris letztes Jahr. Nur die Scoreline ist eben etwas bitter.

Dinah ist dieses Jahr doch erst auf die Tour gekommen und ist in den Top100, teilweise spielt sie ja nur ITFs.
Zu null verlieren ist zwar extrem scheiße, aber davon geht in ihrer Position jetzt nicht die Welt unter.

Ob man letztendlich die Brille bekommt oder 4 und 4 verliert ist auch egal. Es waren einige vielversprechende Punkte dabei. Jetzt muss sie es halt mental noch hinbekommen davon 4-5 in Folge zu spielen.
Azarenka hat ja selbst gesagt es hat sich nicht wie ein 0 und 0 angefühlt.
Mir gefiel ihre Rückhand fast sogar noch besser als ihre loopy Vorhand.
