Julia is the seed in her section again. So It's a nice draw. Let's just hope she plays well. Has quite a few points to defend from now till the end of the season. Needs some deep runs.

I think there is a good chance Kiri will skip doubles.

Yeah, lets not underestimate Paszek, but other than that its nice I think. A quarter for starters would be nice and than maybe even more  |

Well we've seen worse draw for Maria, she is not unlucky this time. 2nd round vs normally Pazsek could be more dangerous though (has Pazsek played good tournamanents since Wimbledon ?) A 3rd round vs Goerges should be interesting to see if Maria could confirm her win at Stanford. Anyway she definitely has a chance to run deep in this tournament.

Paszek had a lot of trouble winning against Dubois last night; i think it was the longest match of the year, and she had an ugly gash on her foot so who knows maybe she'll not even play at all in SD. 
I'm really liking Kiri's coach determination. His mentality is a great asset for Kiri to do better on the tour. This week she won against the world n 16 and took a set off the greatest player of all time. So far, i love what i see from Jimy. |
