It's called Sam Stosur's return of serve. But I think Sabine won 15/16 points on her first serve in the second set.

Re: US Open Series 2011 | Stanford
Sab beats Sam 63 75
Necessary evil...
But great how she's hogging some consistency to beat players like Sam.
Now first match vs Radwanska, today on ESP2 at 11pm CET

Re: US Open Series 2011 | Stanford
This sure beats the last time she was in California, losing Indian Wells qualifying to Cirstea. So much has changed in a short space of time and now her first win against Stosur. I support Stosur too but not as much as Sabine of course. Top 20 is nigh for Bine

Re: US Open Series 2011 | Stanford
Another good win for Sabine
Great serving again but Stosur is not good returner anyway so no big surprise that Stosur wasn´t able to break Sabine, even 2nd serve was pretty strong yesterday!
Good luck against Radwanska!

Re: US Open Series 2011 | Stanford
Great win against Stosur, Sabine!
The next match vs Aga should be very interesting. Power (Sabine) vs smart tennis (Aga). Shocked this is only their first meeting. A shame Eurosport shows useless U19-football instead of WTA Stanford. Of course tennis only on Eurosport 2 which nobody gets. I guess we have to watch on the Stanford cam ...

Great fight, but so determined by her serve
And the scream at the end...

This has been an amazing run since Sabine's disappointment at FO.

Re: US Open Series 2011 | Stanford
Sabine is 14-1 since FO and has beaten Na Li, Bartoli, Stosur and many other top players.

Re: US Open Series 2011 | Stanford
Not the best performance from Sabine but really important that she is able to beat players like Radwanska even if she doesn´t play her best tennis!
Too many UEs today and her 1st serve percentage was really awful from time to time, especially in 2nd set but great to see that she was able to make the important points, won the first set in the TB and saved all BPs in 3rd set with some great serves!
Title in Birmingham, SF in Wimbledon, SF (or even more) in Stanford, great to see that Sabine finally found some consistency, I hope that she will continue like that, her big first serve really helps her when her game isnt working that great like today from time to time, now against Serena or Sharapova, a match against Serena would be nice for a change
well done anyway
