Re: Jelena's Schedule II
Even if she doesn't play, the fact that she's entering tournaments again shows that she is considering playing, which is definitely a step forward

Yes. Next we need her to show up to tournaments then withdraw. Only then will she attend events and play.

You forgot the step where she appears in the draw but then doesn't show up ...

Re: Jelena's Schedule II
Mestre w/d deadline passed earlier today. JD is still in the field.
Yeah, we all know the tournament withdrawal deadlines are the most meaningless of all the "milestones" on the list I posted earlier. Still, it's better than if she had pulled out.

Re: Jelena's Schedule II
I doubt Jelena even knows that deadlines are on Tuesdays, she withdraws whenever she wants to

True. Even when she does withdraw in time it's probably just pure chance.

Re: Jelena's Schedule II
Dumb question, but is Jelena playing in the US Open? I didn't see her name listed in the players category.

Nope. Probably a good idea though; she's likely out of form and probably wouldn't do well enough to cover her team's travel expenses.

I'm not sure if she'll be eligible for that. Committing to tournaments now suggests she's not really thinking about PR. I remember case of Steffi Vogt who was very badly injured and out for a year but she couldn't use PR for some reason. And we all know that Jelena doesn't seem to care too much about the rules concerning entering or withdrawing from tournaments..

Re: Jelena's Schedule II
She'll be eligible for SR is she doesn't play before 24th Sept.
Committing to tournaments is one thing, playing them is something totally different whent it comes to Jelena.

R U sure? I'm not saying your wrong but Vogt's case seems to show that just not playing for 6 months might not be ebough to make player eligible for PR (maybe a player has to apply for PR some time before coming back?).
