Re: TCG: Chat thread
^ not really, if you simplify it, eg. Without cards just names, it could get boring easily.

Re: TCG: Chat thread
I really hope it doesn't end. Like was said before me, maybe you can split up some duties? I've never photoshopped so thats a bit of a problem.
What could take a bit of the load off you for sure would already be someone handling all the PM's for trade and put it in 1 message so you don't have to browse through everything. Same with the shop, someone who puts all orders that haven't been processed in 1 message.
I'll think a bit about a system that could work.

Re: TCG: Chat thread
Maybe someone could make another forum where every squad would be in seperate thread

Re: TCG: Chat thread
You mean a sub forum in TCG itself?

No, I mean another forum. I doubt that mods would allow to have whole squads in sub-forum (it's too big)

Re: TCG: Chat thread
Im also able to help out., but i think it would need to be overhauled. At current new players cannot catch up and this gives us an oppourtunity to overhaul the system and create more of a level playing field. I still believe that players who have played longer and are in a better position should still have some sort of advantage.
Some of the changes i would like to see or possibly implement.
Less top notch cards - this would mean that players are unable to set up teams all of one player and create more divercity. Strategy would take more precidence over the best squads.
Different Weekly result system - 1) Best score overall (same points system as now), 2) Weeks best picks (seperate points with all tournaments reciving the same amount of points) 3) Best form team(last 3 tournaments using best picks score), 4) Wildcard reward (Lowest ranked team inside the top 10)
Different rewards - With the changes above a different reward system would need to be in place. I would think for each player who win a section a 10% bonus card randomly selected from any player who makes a QF in the top 4 highest prizemoney tournaments of the week. This would create greater diversity of squads with strategy playing more of a part in doing well across all fields.
I believe some of these changes would make the game more interesting, keep more interest in all the levels not just the top level. Mainly i think it would allow the game to last alot longer without players having large amounts of the same players with massive bonuses.
Any thoughts? If people may be interested in something like this i could set up a full game design. I would love Robyn's opinion and maybe some help with how you run the sheets and cards.
Cheers

I think the only way to make it fair for everyone is to start from scratch or overhaul as you say, but then people at the top of the rankings will complain. No matter what changes have been made to try and make it better for everyone, people have complained
Your ideas sounds fair, however like I said I do think rather than changing the game you would need to start from scratch and I'll warn you in advance, it's a lot of work I'd be happy to send over all the cards/templates/etc. and explain how to make new ones.

Re: TCG: Chat thread
I can make all the new cards. But I don't think I'll have enough time over the year to run the shop. Plus I'd still like to play the game.
I think the biggest work load are the trades and having to upload the squads thereafter, plus updating the rankings. I'm sure we can find someone who has some sort of automatic formula to update it so it won't take much time. We should find something to make updating the squads from trading less time consuming. Like I said before, perhaps only 1 trade per week allowed.

Because it's not enjoyable anymore And with lots of different people doing different things, wires are likely to get crossed. Not to mention whoever would run the shop would probably use it to their own advantage

Re: TCG: Chat thread
Rotating shop responsibilities will keep people taking advantage to a minimum I think.
