I'm finding it so hard to avoid spoilers.

I'm going to have to just read the books.

Apparently 3 out of the 4 characters I like either die or disappear.

Aack! Well, I've been trying to not spill any beans--partly out of consideration for people who are new to the TV show, partly because I'm not sure how much i remember at this point!

Actually no one knows what will happen with these characters haha when I was reading the books it was kinda hard to see one of your favorites dying or something like that, but that's what makes this book so amazing

The first time I read the series, I was disgusted at how many people died. Not like any other fantasy series! Whereas in The Wheel of Time you're almost guaranteed a happy ending (my favorite kind haha).

The episodes always seem so short. Maybe it's just a consequence of such a large cast.

Some small, disconnected thoughts: I've realized my feelings towards Robert and Cersei are correlated. As my dislike for Robert increases, as does my like for Cersei. Jaimie does nothing for me. This was the first episode I cared about Jon, I'm still waiting for the negative aspects of his character that almost all the other main characters seem to have. I'm liking Sansa more and more. I really like Viserys, he's so pathetic and full of fail it becomes endearing. I can't look at Littlefinger without thinking of Queer as Folk UK, it kind of ruins his character for me.

Jon is basically a decent sort. He had one of his bad moments being a jerk about his fighting abilities.

I'm surprised you're liking Sansa so soon. I didn't like her until Book 3 or so.

Daenerys is just absolutely amazing.

Jon, the bastard, is my favorite male character so far.

Yeah, they're both pretty cool. Tyrion will grow on you, I think. Peter is also an interesting, though not particularly likable, character. I hope the TV show goes more into his motivation as the series develops.

I don't know how anyone could like Sansa......she is her mother's child....in the books, she treats Jon the same way her mother does.

Well the thing with Sansa is she's the epitome of a trained court lady, so its not surprising she'd treat her half brother the way most courtiers would. She definitely grows a lot in the books though, and by Book 3 I found her Chapters pretty enjoyable - part of that is the people around her though.

Almost done Book 3 on my re-read. The Red Wedding

Some understanding is just needed for Sansa I think. It's much easier for Arya to be free and easier to love, she doesn't have the same pressure on her. Not to mention actors matter when it comes to liking or disliking characters, and the actress who plays Sansa is so pretty. She even makes you look past her ginger hair.
