Sadly USTA BJK Tennis Center at Flushing would be great BUT the courts are all spread out so it would not makes sense for team tennis.

Is this meant to be a serious post? just to set some thing correctly for any foreign readers of this forum..

The tournament is being held in Palo Alto, not San Francisco. They are almost an hour apart, and several micro-climates.
The tournament is not held in the Summer, it is held in May. Summer starts June 21st More than a month from start to start.
Walt Whitman did not say that. That is usually attributed to the great American humorist Mark Twain, the same that is famous for saying, "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated" But some say no.

It does not rain in Northern California all the time, except in July and August when it is foggy.
So far in the tournament it has rained about two hours, and play got delayed.
There are indoor courts available. Even that rain is rare this time of year, a source tells me that Stanford has paid $50,000 to have the right to kick the members off the courts at a good quality club with 12 indoor court, and complete the tournament. I have my doubt that a contingency contract for rain would be that expense, but it could be as there is only one local club with the volume of indoor courts that might be needed if prolonged rain struck.

Weather forecast link

This link says the during May, SF averages .25 inches of rain, or 6 cm of rain. I could not find a similar listing of the rain for Palo Alto in May, but based on my experience, it would be slightly hotter during the day, and maybe / maybe not slightly cooler during the night in Palo Alto, than in San Francisco during May. In contrast with the .25 inches of precipitation in San Francisco during May, in New York, the rainfall during May averages over 4 inches according to this page from weather dot com.

Thanks to this board, I knew to watch Connie match. Without reference to the draw, it felt that she could fit into the top 16, with luck make it to the final 8.

I have this link to pdf version of the individual draw, but is there a web page that has an "interactive" draw, like existed for the team draw?

I can't believe how bad the coverage has been. Scoreboard, at least for me, isn't working. To get scores, you have to click on each individual court. What a terrible job all week by Stanford. I hope this is taken into account next time they want to host.

On site, the event has been hosted well.

The free wifi coverage here is strong. But it is the work by streaming company that seems to be the problem. I say Stanford is a great host, but no host or major event should use the streaming provider. Im sorry that the experience is be tarnished by the streaming provider. But this event is at the highest in terms of good tennis facilities, banquets, places for athletes, fans, food, officials rest area, etc. And the team final was exciting.

That may all be true, but I disagree with the facility. The way the courts are split up is not good for the sport, the fans or the teams. It simply isn't. How many people saw the 4-6 matches? Those all count just the same, and there was great drama on the back courts, but who got to see it other than a few there and those watching on tv? Emotion is huge in college tennis and I like a setup where all 6 courts are side by side by side and the fans can see all the action. Or maybe I'm spoiled cause that's how it is at Florida.
