Re: National Individual Championship, Singles and Doubles Tournaments
Scoreboards are certainly not working
Pavelec was playing well, she won the rallies One hand backhand
didn't break down, Muresan was throwing a mild? tantrum as usual
Mathews' backhand is good so I think Jones targeted M's forehand, which succeeded when I watched..
Gullickson, Dy, Chan were winning

Will someone that actual knows the answer explain to me how these individual draws are put together! It is obviously not based on the players ranking. Nothing at this tournament seems to make sense to me!

It rains in Northern California all the time (except July-Aug when it gets foggy instead)...
Yet another reason to question playing at Stanford when the very few indoor courts available are an hour away from campus.
Oh wait, Dick Gould is a god and ...... (sorry, was having ESPNU flashback for a second)
Go to Texas A&M and Georgia ... or even sticky Florda (though I don't think they have enough courts to handle the combined mens/womens tourney). Great facilities all right there and typically excellent hosts.
Sadly USTA BJK Tennis Center at Flushing would be great BUT the courts are all spread out so it would not makes sense for team tennis.

Re: National Individual Championship, Singles and Doubles Tournaments
Stanford doesn't need to host for awhile until they build a more fan friendly set up and get the scoreboard and video to actually work. A&M and Athens are really good. It'll be interesting to see how Illinois does as hosts in a few years.

Rain for a few hours one day but the rest 70 and sunny > 90 degrees (mid 90s in College Station) and humid. At least in my opinion.
