Re: Ajmo Mirjana on clay courts!
Up 40-0 in that last game???
Sam thing against Kerber in Nassau. Ok, she had a bad match. But being up 40-0 and then giving it away just like that? I'm so mad now.

Re: Ajmo Mirjana on clay courts!
4/16 sets. 4 sets, that's all she won this year. And it's really a great decision to withdrawn from challenger and go and play Madrid, Rome...
Problems are HUGE! I was never a pessimist, but this is really bad. She clearly has no confidence at all.

Re: Ajmo Mirjana on clay courts!
I think it's clear to anyone with sense that she simply doesn't have it, anymore, if she ever really had "It" at all. Last year was so encouraging and full of promise. It wasn't pretty most of the time, but at least she rose to challenges and found ways to grit out all sorts of matches.
With all of the points she has to defend in the next six months, nothing short of a tennis miracle can save her career.
As was pointed out succinctly earlier:
"She worked so hard to get back to the Tour. Now she's back and she sucks."
Yep. That last game was beyond unacceptable, and very indicative of her inability to compete anymore. I wish her the best.
Maybe she'll go all the way to the semifinals of the French Open, guys.

Re: Ajmo Mirjana on clay courts!
On a less critical note, I hope someone is with her to give her a big hug. She cannot be feeling good at all right now. Losing so badly for months on end ruins players of all levels.
I honestly don't think she would do that much better in Challengers, at this juncture. She has had, let's face it, really really good draws all year, given her Top 100 status. Her opponents have been Challenger-level opponents.
I think that, after the monumental effort of 2010 (for which she should be applauded absolutely) she is burned out and she will hang it up sometime this season and move on, unless something amazing happens to change that. Life beckons for her elsewhere. I'd rather see her happily married and getting into something else in life than getting her ass kicked by juniors.

Re: Ajmo Mirjana on clay courts!
i don't understand why she refuses to play a challenger. just win some matches dammit
unless she is thinking about riding out her ranking for the first round money and then retiring when her ranking drops...

Re: Ajmo Mirjana on clay courts!
If she were a trademark grinder, or pusher type of player, I could see her staying in the game past 29 or 30.
But she ain't no grinder.
Well, I will hope for some Magic Unicorn to sprinkle fairy-dust on her racquets right before the French Open, but something tells me all her magic unicorns have been sent to the glue-factory.
