Nice try by the schedulers forgetting to put them up so they didn't know they had a match They played so well though, best ALG has served in a while...really strong, only 1 DF each and ALG was serving with great pace. They were aggressive but controlled and were all over the net too, it was nice to see them play that way again. Best they've played since the start of the year before the injuries.
Next up Bouchard/Martic who beat Erakovic/Black ALGs partner from last year...much rather that than Black and Erakovic again though
6-4 6-4 again, over Bouchard/Martic..never lost serve this time which was good. But something like 2/12 on BPs...3/13 on BPs in R2. Need to improve on that a lot against Petrova/Srebotnik to give themselves any chance.
I think if they play well and take chances they can win, but if they are slightly off they will lose in straight sets.
At least mk can't say that ALG can't reach any GS QFs anymore.
Magdalena Maleeva's last words at her send-off:
"There is a saying that there is no friendship in tennis, but I've proven the opposite. After all of them are here, it means that there is friendship and I want to thank them for being here tonight. I hope the fans are happy too."
