What Grip Do You Use On Your Forehand Side
Pretty simple. The Heading pretty much states all you need to know about this thread. Eastern, Semi Western or Western Grip?

Re: What Grip Do You Use On Your Forehand Side
Eastern but I place my thumb along the handle rather than tucking it in. My coach says it makes no difference and I should tuck it in but I play so much better the original way so I change it for every rally

Re: What Grip Do You Use On Your Forehand Side
I'm semi-western nowadays. Used to be more eastern but developed it to get more spin and cause my forehand isn't really a natural for me. Its more consistent now, less power and winners though.

Re: What Grip Do You Use On Your Forehand Side
Definitely more of an eastern grip, but towards the end of last year I was trying to work on adjusting this in order to get more spin and overall consistency on the shot. Definitely not a natural shot for me

Re: What Grip Do You Use On Your Forehand Side
I use an Eastern grip BTW. I hit a very flat ball so it suits my game.

Re: What Grip Do You Use On Your Forehand Side
Aint there a grip called continental? The coaches always tell me to use for my serve and volley.

Yeah the continental grip is used for the serve, overhead and conventional volleys. I dont think its ever used for the forehand.

Re: What Grip Do You Use On Your Forehand Side
I'm an semi-westener. I used to have a ridiculous extreme wester grip. Great for whipping the ball but lost a lot of power!
