The data are from the match stats that are listed with each player's profile at the Wta's site aside from the aces and double faults per match.
I had to calculate that as they only gave the total number of each for the whole year and not per match.

Apologies in advance if the formatting is messed up when you see it.

Re: Caroline Wozniacki statistics (index in post #1!)

I think you're looking at Bartoli's stats. Caro's double fault stats are pretty good.

Interesting that Caro's 1st Serve Winning % is the 2nd worst, while her 2nd Serve Winning % is the 2nd best!

Re: Caroline Wozniacki statistics (index in post #1!)

Wow. Thanks for all the stats.

Caro is really lagging her fellow top 10ers in her record against them and probably more importantly her record against players outside the top 30.

Would it be possible to have the following stats as well: 6-4 4-6 sets, win/loss outside the top 15, win/loss outside the top 20,
win/loss outside the top 30? Thanks.

Cool. Thanks again.

How to do you put together all these stats and at least in the case of my request so quickly?

Re: Caroline Wozniacki statistics (index in post #1!)

caro compared to vika, aga & sara. based on elo-system. caro peaked 2 years ago. now behind sara

about 2100 points to be #5
about 2000 points to be #10
about 1915 points to be #20
about 1850 points to be #30
about 1755 points to be #50
about 1645 points to be #100

caro at 2008. she deserves her official ranking

losses last 12 months

what next? losses to Ula & Ayumi?

Re: Caroline Wozniacki statistics (index in post #1!)

What's the Elo system?

Could you do a table with with winning %s after winning the 1st set? Also, this one could be pretty tough/time consuming...
what about the % of matches that go 3 sets after winning the 1st set? Thanks.

chess optimized rating system

for example: indian wells final

sharapova: 2220
wozniacki: 2047
difference: 173 = Sharapova 72/28 favorite

sharapova won in straight sets = 7 points for sharapova; -7 for wozniacki
new score: sharapova 2227; Wozniacki 2040

or

wozniacki in three sets = 12 points for wozniacki; -12 for sharapova
new score: sharapova 2208; wozniacki 2059

Ok. How do you get the initial value for players though?

Doh. That was supposed to be winning % after winning the 1st set.

How about from the start of 2012 through now and 2013? Thanks.

Re: Caroline Wozniacki statistics (index in post #1!)

Ooh, a graph! That was the sort of thing I was alluding to a couple of weeks ago. Clearly three of those four players are on an upward trend and one of them very much is not.
