Everything has wheat in it here. Of course there's the healthier "whole grain" wheat, but most bread and what not has "enriched wheat flour"...not very healthy. Lots of carbs and makes everyone doughy High glycemic index = more calories = more weight.
There's even talk about too much wheat affecting kids' behavior...I know some people restrict wheat from their kids who have problems. I have no idea of the validity of that, though, but there have been studies...probably the whole sugar concept.

I'm thinking you and I also put away a lot of corn (as in maize). (Of course, being in Texas I probably gobble up more tortillas* and corn chips than you do ).
*Flour tortillas are a godless abomination.

Yep. Corn is another thing that's everywhere. A lot of people bemoan the fact that 'high fructose corn syrup' is in everything, but the latest I've read say it isn't as bad as we are made to believe.
No worse than processed sugar, which is still bad
We have Baked Tostitos and chicken tacos/quesadillas probably once a week. Yes, usually Azteca flour tortillas What brand of tortillas (corn based?) are good around there?
