I usually go to Estoril Open every year and support our Jarka (I actually fall in love with her
and her game
in 2008 (?) when I saw her 2nd round against Barrois. That 2nd and 3rd set were DAMN good!!). Last year I even took a photo with her and had a nice chat with her (she is such a sweety
). Unfortunately this year I won't be able to go to there
Yet I know some friends that are there, like @JoseMorgado, and he saw a little bit of today's match and he said that the spaniard was a very 'boring' (aka typical spaniard player with a lot of pushing and defensive tennis) and Jarka played enough to beat her easily. Her 1st serve % wasn't fabulous but she won almost every point with it.
Yesterday she also played doubles with Andrea Hlavackova and they won their 1st round
He (@JoseMorgado) said that Jarka was serving and volleying REALLY well during the time he saw the match (1st set). Jarka and Andrea have a really nice draw in doubles after Kiri/Petrova retirement (because of a Kiri's injury).
Well, about tomorrow's match it will be played in Centralito (the most beautiful tennis court in the World
) so there will be stream
You can find it easily. I'm really confident about the match. I don't think that Jarka is the favourite but I don't think Nadia is playing well enough right now to be 'the favourite'. She actually had some problems in her service games against Barbara Luz. So, if Jarka serves well and stays calm and confident (aka like in Fed Cup) I think that she can definetly win tomorrow.
Now some Jarka's pics:
(if you have twitter follow him because he is putting many Estoril Open photos with great quality)
(With Andrea before their doubles' match)
PS: I will be in Madrid next week from Tuesday to Thursday. I hope that Jarka can win her 1st round so I can see her and give her all my support!
