Re: Indy de Vroome
I personally find this a very good, surprising result. Well done Indy

Re: Indy de Vroome
Ok, that's bad.
A QF is ok, but a year ago I've expected her to win these 10Ks without struggle by now. She's underachieving and I don't know what happened to her development. But I have faith in her, I'm sure she'll get back on track someday.

Re: Indy de Vroome
She's still a junior and they are known to struggle with consistency.
I had expected her to do better, but I think it's hard for her to play well on a consistent basis.
She did win 4 games against Stephens and 5 games against Amanmuradova this year so she has got what it takes.
Better luck next time

Re: Indy de Vroome
A little bit disapointed, but maybe I am expecting a bit too much too soon
About a year ago she defeated Putintseva twice, Townsened, Hardebeck, Vekic etc in juniors. All really good wins.
They all did pretty well juniors and seniors after that and for some reason Indy's results haven't improved that much.
For some reason I expected her to enter these 10k's and being able to win some titles in these tournaments
I know she is still young (16), so they are probably working on improving her game. Maybe making a few adjustments.
Her time will surely come
It's better to have a solid game first and slowly working up the rankings. I just shouldn't be so impatient
She ended the year at 10 in the juniors ranking, so I guess she got some JE as well?

I agree completely. How many girls has she beaten who have won multiple 25Ks and if not 10Ks and are nearing Top 400 an for some Top 100 I think her Junior Performances this year havent been great either so maybe she is just having a bad year

Re: Indy de Vroome
Great news!
I do expect her to play this time, she has been training the last couple of weeks at the IMG academy in Florida

Re: Indy de Vroome
I hope the training will pay off, because she needs a deep run so bad.

Re: Indy de Vroome
Her ranking is just a tiny bit too low, she needs to play Q probably.
Hopefully she can do well
